LNG
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is natural gas that is converted to liquid form for ease of storage or transport. LNG is one of the fastest-growing energy markets. Our LNG team works closely with sellers, traders, and natural gas companies to supply our clients who are mostly located in Asia. We can arrange SPOT deals and Long-term contracts at competitive prices.
LNG’s complex logistics require substantial capital expenditure from market participants, setting high barriers to entry for producers, end users and shippers. Some buyers prefer to commit to long-term contracts but now, as the infrastructure is put in place, the spot market is becoming more active and the traded volumes are growing. We expect the LNG markets to be very active in the coming years and we are ready for this great opportunity.
We have the marketing expertise and the geographic coverage to succeed in the LNG market for SPOT cargo and also for LNG in ISO containers. Our team also specializes in the development of turnkey LNG supply solutions using ISO Tank Containers. We also develop with our strategic partners & collaborators Power generation solutions for remote areas using gas generators or fuel cells.
We are presently expanding our LNG & Bio-LNG sourcing, marketing and trading operations.
We can offer LNG on an FOB or DES basis to customers interested in purchasing LNG in the short, mid-term and long-term markets. We also have access to LNG spot cargoes (we charge a minimum brokerage fee to customers once the carrier is delivered). Platt’s has been publishing the JKM (Japan Korea Marker) which is a daily quote of LNG DES price in the Far East. Many Companies supports the use of a transparent, recognizable spot LNG assessment and the increase in the liquidity of the swap market for LNG spot.
Bio-LNG (also called Biomethane, Green LNG or Renewable LNG) is a biofuel made by processing organic waste flows. When anaerobic digestion of organic waste happens, biogas is emitted in the process. Renewable LNG can effectively address issues of clean energy production, waste management, etc.

CRUDE OIL
In the crude oil market, we use our global presence, market knowledge and our partners & collaborators to service the needs of our customers around the world. We source crude oil from a variety of counterparties including public production companies, oil majors and national oil companies. With the help of our partners, we can also provide distribution solutions for producers, and assist refineries by arranging tailored shipments.
The energy products we source and trade encompass WTI, Brent, Dubai crude, BLCO, ESPO, Rebco to name a few. Our crude oil team will be able to assist you with all your needs for Light crude oil to heavy crude oil. FOB or CIF basis.
Our team also markets En590 10ppm. All the products that are proposed and marketed by Energy Trading Japan are sourced from Non-sanctioned countries.
LPG
Our LPG team specializes in the marketing and trading of LPG (FOB or CIF basis). The main component of Liquefied Petroleum Gas is propane and butane and are relatively easy to liquefy.
LPG plays an important role in the energy transition to low and zero-carbon sources. Energy Trading Japan can arrange the supply of large volume to the provision of smaller volume to international markets. We facilitate trading between the buyers and suppliers/producers.
Biofuels & Biodiesel
Biodiesel sourcing, trading & marketing
Among the different energy products that we source and market, biodiesel is a fuel produced from organic material. Our Biofuel Marketing team specializes in the sourcing of biodiesel fuel and develop supply solutions to customers in Asia and around the world. Through our global network of collaborators in the biofuel sector, we can arrange for transportation, storage and supply of biodiesel at competitive prices.
What is Biodiesel ?
Biodiesel is produced from oils or fats using transesterification. The feedstocks to produce biodiesel include animal fats, vegetable oils, soy, rapeseed, jatropha, mustard, flax, sunflower, palm oil, hemp and algae. Some Environmental benefits of Biodiesel is that this renewable fuel generates 60% lower greenhouse gases emissions than petroleum diesel. Some of the Economic benefits of Biodiesel is that it can help to meet emissions targets at enterprise levels and it can be produced in different countries such at USA, Europe, Malaysia, etc. Also, the trading of biodiesel requires no changes to rail, storage and infrastructures. The different blends available and most commonly used are B100, B99, B20, etc.

Hydrogen
Hydrogen Solutions – Sourcing, Marketing, Supply, Storage & Transportation
Energy Trading Japan has been following the technologies and supply opportunities regarding green hydrogen and blue hydrogen for many years. Clean hydrogen is currently enjoying political and business momentum in different countries and more hydrogen projects are being developed around the world. Therefore, there is currently a good opportunity to scale up technologies and bring down costs in order for hydrogen to become widely used in the future which would contribute significantly to clean energy transitions. Hydrogen could be used as a fuel for ”zero-emissions” vehicles, to heat homes and offices, to produce electricity, and to fuel aircraft.
What is the difference between Blue hydrogen and Green hydrogen ?
Blue hydrogen is created from fossil sources, where the carbon emissions are captured and stored. As the GHG are captured, this mitigates the environmental impacts on the planet. Green hydrogen is made safely from made renewable energy sources (100 percent non-fossil sources). This type of hydrogen is non-polluting and is produced by splitting water by electrolysis. This produces only hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen can then be use and the oxygen is vented into the atmosphere with no negative impact.
Green Energy
At Energy Trading Japan, we believe that hydrogen will play a key role in the energy transition in some sectors, if it is supported by strong government policies and subsidies to make this fuel efficient and competitive. Hydrogen is light, storable, energy-dense and produces no direct emissions of GHG (greenhouse gases). Hydrogen can be used is different sectors such as transport, buildings and power generation. JET FUEL
We develop competitive and tailored Jet Fuel supply solutions through our strategic business partners in USA, Europe and Asia. Our Jet Fuel team specialized on providing Jet Fuel (JET A-1) and other aviation fuels to different markets around the world. We offer products on FOB basis and we can also arrange for the delivery of Avgas to airports and to any locations.
